You just have to be open to new ideas
Our Idea Friendly Method is backed by research, but refreshingly simple and practical.
Openness to new ideas is an advantage for rural areas addressing change, a Christian Science Monitor article said, pointing to work by Dr. David Peters, Iowa State University, and Dr. Linda Lobao, Ohio State University.
Iowa State University studied 99 small towns for a period of over 20 years. In that time, those towns experienced every kind of change. Some lost a manufacturer, others gained a new business. Some lost a local school, some had big growth in their schools. Some were hit by natural disasters, others were spared. What the researchers concluded was that no matter what happened or didn’t happen, the towns that prospered the best were the ones that were open to new ideas and welcomed new people into decision-making.
The Idea Friendly Method teaches you how to be open to new ideas. SaveYour.Town co-founders Deb Brown and Becky McCray walk you through the process in our new 24 minute video called The Idea Friendly Method.
