This is something you can do

I’m so tired of getting asked to serve on a committee. I don’t have time to attend once a month, let alone once a week. I don’t even know if I’ll be in town to come! My health requires my attention. My kids need me. My husband is ticked because I’m always gone somewhere. Seriously, this committee stuff has to stop.

STOP HOLDING COMMITTEE MEETINGS.

Want to work on the flowers in the park? Go to the park and work on them. Invite some friends to join you. You don’t need to hold a meeting to talk about working on the flowers in the park. You just need to go to the park and and work on them!

Look at your life, and at one project you’re involved in.  How can you just go do that work and stop holding committee meetings about doing the work?  Then go do the work.

And while you’re at it, stop asking people to join your committee as a volunteer.

Remember, you’re not going to hold committee meetings.

Ask people if they have a couple of hours to help you out with something. You are more likely going to get more help in small increments, than you are in year long commitments.
